Kiwanis Thinks Kids are Terrific
Lakeland School teacher Elizabeth Preston (left) and Kiwanian Amy Galliers get ready to distribute books to students as part of the Terrific Kids. This is a Kiwanis Club student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance.
Students work with their teachers to establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance or school work. Kiwanis then rewards students with free books.
